This year, SFAF commemorates 40 years of service to the community. On this occasion, we take a look back and share our storied history of leadership in HIV, and the many ways we have grown and evolved to respond to the changing landscape of HIV. Our 2022 Pride store merchandise honors this history with designs that reflect SFAF’s work in prevention, care, and advocacy across 40 years.
Dancing condoms emphasize pleasure:
For many years, condoms were one of the primary tools that people had to prevent HIV transmission. SFAF’s outreach and educational materials shared the benefits of condom use, with an emphasis on promoting pleasure alongside sexual health. Instead of using fear-based tactics in HIV prevention, common at the time, SFAF infused a sense of liberty, empowerment, and joy in campaign materials promoting condom use and other prevention strategies. The “dancing condoms,” adorning an HIV education brochure produced in the 1990s, are a perfect example of this approach.
A classic, staple tank top. A timeless classic intended for anyone looking for great quality and softness.
